The customer is a partner in a successful professional firm in Sydney.  The family’s material investment into agriculture has been well supported by notable agricultural specialists and advisors. Primary enterprise is merino lambs and wool.  Their current banker is not equipped with agricultural specialists or understand the agricultural industry.  A bank having key agricultural experience was an important part of completing the specialist team that the family was building around them.

The family and business structure is complex, and the timing landed the deal during the midst of the Royal Commission where the credit landscape seemed to almost change daily.  The transaction was successfully funded which improved their cost of funds, increased their borrowing capacity to purchase more livestock on the back of improved pasture and a strong season.  The runway is set for another farm acquisition in the near future.
